De Hygienique’s Annual Charity Drive Ended With Smiles
Singapore, 22 November 2011 – ‘Rainbow of Hope’ project ended on 19th November 2011 afternoon, as parents and children of Club Rainbow Singapore enjoyed a fun filled family day at YWCA Fort Canning Lodge organized by De Hygienique (DH) as the finale to a three parts charity drive:
1. Complimentary Mattress Cleaning – Underprivileged children from Club Rainbow got to enjoy sleeping on clean, allergen-free mattresses cleaned by DH’s patented Potema® Mattress Cleaning System.
2. Collective Fund Raising – We believe in engaging the love and help of our fellow staff and customers to participate in a series of fund raising activities. This includes a $2 contribution from the company for every mattress cleaned during the period of September and October 2011.
DH’s customers donated story books and money to Club Rainbow Singapore. Books were displayed during Club Rainbow Family Day and were mostly picked up by parents and children at the end of the event.
3. ‘Rainbow of Hope Family Day’ – children activities were planned by National Institute of Education (NIE) student volunteers who prepared an array of children activities such as Amazing Race Game Stations, Magic Hoola, Story Telling, Cupcake Decorations, all with the aim to bring joy and laughter to Club Rainbow’s chronically ill children and their siblings.
While children were busy playing games, their parents attended allergy management talks by two renowned pediatric allergists Dr Lee Bee Wah, Clinical Pediatric Immunologist, and Dr Teoh Oon Hoe, Head of Respiratory Services at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
As a corporate social responsible company, DH hopes to bring support and hope to the families of underprivileged children. Through this charity drive, we want to honour the selfless sacrifices of the parents and caregivers of these children. Unflagging spirits who never give up and never let go of their children whom they love regardless of their inadequacies.
